Welcome to Norway-Vulcan Area Schools

Norway-Vulcan Area Schools have established a tradition of strong community support, a caring and nurturing atmosphere for children and outstanding student achievement. Norway High School has been continuously accredited by the North Central Association for more than a century. In recent years, the high school was identified by the national publication U.S. News & World Reports as one of America's best high schools earning a bronze medal. In addition, NHS has received the Governor's Award for excellence and 'A's on the Michigan Department of Education School Report Card.

The academic achievement of our students is truly evident throughout grade levels. Both Norway Elementary and Vulcan Middle Schools have been recognized as top performing schools in the state.

Standing behind the success of our schools is the dedication of the Norway-Vulcan community. In 1991 a new campus was constructed with all three buildings combined into one location. In 2001 the Norway Fine Arts Center opened a new era of music education for students. The nearly $4 million addition has provided the community with a tremendous venue to watch young talent blossom.
