Basketball

Norway is a part of a conference made of up eight schools that sponsor both boys and girls basketball teams. The girls season runs from early September through late October. The regular season is followed by a league tournament. The boys season starts in early December and runs through February. This season also has a post-season tournament

Basketball is available to all middle school students. The seventh and eighth grade girl's BB season is played in the fall and the seventh and eighth grade boy's season is played in the winter. A Saturday Basketball Program for girls and boys in grades five and six is held during the winter months.

Cross Country

Middle school students (grades 7 & 8) have the opportunity to train with Noway High School's cross country team and to participate in several meets. This exposure to the sport has been invaluable, as many of the students who have participated have had excellent high school cross country careers.

Wrestling

All boys and girls in the middle school have the opportunity to participate in wrestling. Students enjoy learning wrestling moves and sportmanship, and having the experience to compete against students of comparable size. Tournaments are held with everyone being recognized for their efforts.

Track

Seventh and eighth grade students train each spring to compete against other area schools. From field events to track events, students are taught how to correctly run their selected event. Improving their time or distance during the year is one of theother major goals of each student.  Track is a co-ed sport, participating in a five meet season.  Norway hosts one meet along with other area schools.  The track season runs from the middle of April through the end of May.
